Flick Jukebox
I'm excited to share a project I worked on for school with my teammates Alicia Medina and Janelle Leblanc. It's called Flick Jukebox, and it's all about simplifying the process of finding songs from movies and TV shows.
So, here's the deal with Flick Jukebox: it's a mobile app that lets you search for a song you heard in a movie or TV show. No more struggling to figure out what that awesome track is called!
Using the Spotify API integrated right into the app, you can search for the song you're looking for and add it to the movie or show of your choice. And if you change your mind, no worries, you can easily remove it. When you're ready to listen, just hit play, and the song will play in Spotify.
We've also made it possible for users to contribute to the database. The app integrates with an Isar database. If you can't find the movie or show you're looking for, you can add it yourself, a feature that takes advantage of the 'The Movie Database' (themoviedb.org) API. This way, users work together to make Flick Jukebox better.
