Ice Cream Shop
For my Advanced Web Topics class, I decided to learn React. We were tasked with independently learning a modern web technology, which we would then teach back to the class in a two-hour presentation. In addition to React, I chose to use Node.js and MongoDB for the backend, skills I had acquired in other classes. This journey culminated in the creation of "Ice Cream Shop," a straightforward yet functional application designed to showcase these technologies' practical application in a real-world scenario.
"Ice Cream Shop" enables users to explore the menu of an ice cream shop, create reservations, and view all current reservations. This project was not merely about building an app but also about understanding and demonstrating the interconnectedness of modern web development tools.
This app served as a practical example of how React, Node.js, and MongoDB can collaborate to create a seamless and interactive user experience. It was a rewarding component of my coursework, offering both a valuable learning experience for myself and an opportunity to see something new for my peers.
